Accreditation & Approval
Lehigh Carbon Community College is approved as an institution of higher education by the Department of Education of the Commonwealth of Pennsylvania. The college is authorized to award the Associate in Arts Degree, the Associate in Science Degree, the Associate in Applied Science Degree, certificates, and diplomas in specialized career areas.

The following programs have received additional accreditation or approval:
- The Accounting Associate Degree program is accredited by the Accreditation Council of Business Schools and Programs (ACBSP).
- The ground and flight training courses required for the issuance of an airmen certificate within the Aviation – Professional Pilot Degree program is licensed by the Federal Aviation Administration (FAA).
- The ground and flight training courses required for the issuance of an airmen certificate within the Aviation Science Degree program is licensed by the Federal Aviation Administration (FAA).
- The Business Administration Associate Degree program is accredited by the Accreditation Council of Business Schools and Programs (ACBSP).
- The Business Management Associate Degree program is accredited by the Accreditation Council of Business Schools and Programs (ACBSP).
- The Early Childhood Education – Early Intervention Associate Degree at Lehigh Carbon Community College is accredited by the Commission on the Accreditation of Early Childhood Higher Education Programs of the National Association for the Education of Young Children, www.naeyc.org. The accreditation term runs from May 2018 through March 2023.
- The Early Childhood Education Associate Degree at Lehigh Carbon Community College is accredited by the Commission on the Accreditation of Early Childhood Higher Education Programs of the National Association for the Education of Young Children, www.naeyc.org. - The Human Resource Management Associate Degree program is accredited by the Accreditation Council of Business Schools and Programs (ACBSP).
- The Health Information Technology Associate Degree program is accredited by the Commission on Accreditation for Health Informatics and Information Management Education (CAHIIM).
- The Human Services Associate Degree program is accredited by the Council for Standards in Human Services Education (CSHSE).
- The Kitchen and Bath Design Associate Degree program utilizes training materials supplied and supported by the National Kitchen and Bath Association (NKBA) and follows the NKBA guidelines in all design coursework.
- The Medical Laboratory Technician Associate Degree program, through an agreement with Reading Area Community College, is accredited by the National Accrediting Agency for Clinical Laboratory Science (NAACLS).
- The Nursing Associate Degree program maintains continuing accreditation through the Accreditation Commission For Education In Nursing Inc. (ACEN).
- The Nursing Associate Degree program maintains full approval status with the Pennsylvania State Board of Nursing.
- The Paralegal Studies Associate Degree program is approved by the American Bar Association (ABA).
- The Paralegal Studies Certificate program is approved by the American Bar Association (ABA).
- The Physical Therapist Assistant Associate Degree program is accredited by the Commission on Accreditation in Physical Therapy Education (CAPTE).
- The Practical Nursing Certificate program maintains continuing accreditation through the Accreditation Commission For Education In Nursing Inc. (ACEN).
- The Practical Nursing program maintains full approval status with the Pennsylvania State Board or Nursing.
- The Respiratory Care Associate Degree program, through an agreement with Reading Area Community College, is accredited by the Committee on Accreditation for Respiratory Care (COARC).
- The Veterinary Technician Associate Degree program is accredited by the American Veterinary Medical Association Committee on Veterinary Technician Education and Activities.
